PDF Download, guarda páginas web como PDFs en Firefox

PDF Download es una excelente extensión para Firefox que nos permite guardar en formato PDF las páginas webs que visitemos (conservando todos los enlaces), y almacenarlas en el disco duro o enviarlas directamente por correo electrónico. Además, con PDF Download podemos elegir la forma en que visualizamos los documentos de este formato cada vez que nos encontremos con ellos en nuestra navegación diaria, dándosenos las opciones de descargarlos, verlos como PDF en el navegador, convertirlos a HTML, etc. Algo parecido a lo que hace el servicio PDFMenot pero de forma mucho más sencilla, y puediendo elegir la manera en que los archivos son visualizados.

Al instalarlo se agregará un menú en la Barra de Herramientas de Firefox que nos proporcionará acceso directo a las funciones de guardar como archivo PDF, y de enviar directamente por correo electrónico. También disponemos de opciones más avanzadas, en las que podemos especificar dónde queremos que se abran los PDFs (en la misma pestaña, en una pestaña nueva, en una nueva ventana, etc.), si al enviarlos por correo lo haremos siempre al mismo destinatario, o incluso establecer una acción predeterminada al abrir un documentos, para no tener que estar siempre eligiendo entre descargarlo en su formato original, verlo en el navegador, convertirlo a HTML, etc.

En definitiva, una excelente herramienta para todas aquellas personas que disfrutan de la versatilidad y facilidad de uso de los documentos PDF, y cuyos único puntos negativso son que nos muestra publicidad a la hora de realizar las conversiones, y que en ocasiones el archivo que obtenemos no es una fiel representación de como lucía la página web en el navegador.
